Taking a page from fellow YA author and comic book writer Cecil Castellucci (Year of the Beasts; Boyproof), author Tom Leveen led writers through a fun and revealing exercise to build a hero and villain (and send them into combat!) to illustrate how conflict is necessary for every genre of fiction.
